The CPA/EPA Regional Sales Manager is responsible for Straub’s business within an assigned territory in Central and Eastern PA.  The primary responsibilities are to achieve assigned volume and distribution growth targets, gain share of mind within the assigned distributor organizations, manage the annual business plans, and subsequent executional attainment.

Primary Functionality of the Position:


1.)   Develop effective annual business plans for all brands with partner wholesalers, track attainment on volume goals, objectives, forecasting, and strategic programming.

2.)   Increase brand awareness with retailers, consumers and wholesaler staff through the use of samplings, promotions, brand trainings, sales team presentations, ride alongs, and social media platforms.

3.)   Analyze data to drive insights and action - utilizing shipment reports, orders, distribution and other data to recognize business opportunities to enhance sales.

4.)   Plan and execute tactics in both On & Off Premise accounts based on agreed upon annual plans with partner wholesalers. Tactics should be planned with clear goals for volume and distribution growth, and/or merchandising targets.

5.)   Measure, monitor and adjust display, distribution and merchandising plans in core accounts to ensure meeting market goals and objectives based on annual plan.

6.)   Maximize volume opportunities by ensuring sufficient inventory is available to support planned programs, promotions and consumer demand. Minimize overstocks to avoid product quality issues and returns. The Regional Sales Manager should be effective at influencing wholesaler staff and orders to accomplish this.

7.)   Directly supervise all Brand Ambassadors, with assistance of Straub’s BA Scheduler, with on and off premise samplings and promotions.  Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Straub’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training BA’s and assist with scheduling, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining’ and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

8.)   Communicate on market accomplishments, needs and general observations that will assist wholesaler and Straub achieve market goals and objectives.

9.)   Manage and support Point of Sale needs in assigned markets.

10.)       Manage and track the approved tactical budgets for each wholesaler to ensure spending is done in support of annual plans, and in advancing brand awareness. This function should focus first on making the best investments for the Straub brands, and second on preventing over or under spends.

11.)       Manage the effective pricing of Straub products to ensure on shelf PTCs are in line with company targets. This will include influencing wholesaler PTRs, discount structures, post offs and price increases.

12.)       Provide a keen understanding and interpretation of market trends, competition and insight of WPA and portions of Ohio territories relative to account base and wholesalers; utilizing basic metrics of the industry and pricing to gather information and analyze to determine opportunities.

13.)       Timely submission of all reports, billing approvals, expenses and any other requested information.

14.)       Attend trainings and/or conferences to keep abreast of industry changes as requested by the Brewery, including obtaining RAMP certification/re-certification.

15.)       Other duties or tasks as may be requested by supervisor.


Qualifications for the Position include ~

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the beverage industry
  • Substantial travel is required with this position; therefore, a valid and clean driver's license is required, as well as a reliable, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts in territory.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus and work ethic from a home-based office.
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends and work more than 40 hours per week.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google and Social Media Platforms.
  • Required lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point of sale.
