Sales Account Representative - Natural Channel

About you:

  • You’re a people-person, not a purple people eater.

  • We’d pay money to see your scholarly presentations.

  • Your organizational skills transcend the status quo and brings feng shui to your team.

  • You may have previously favorited the Whole Foods vendor portal, SPINS and KeHE Oak on your computer.

  • Been there, done that. You know how to utilize your network of brokers and distributor partners to accomplish revenue and strategic goals.

  • Managing trade spending and a sale expense budget is a cinch.  

  • Again, the thrill of working in a fast-paced, start-up culture gets you hopping out of bed in the morn.

  • You love where you live. We get it, we love where we live too. This position could be remote for the right fit.

What you will do:

  • Achieve revenue targets, new item launch goals, and seize opportunities.

  • Monitor customer and broker performance.

  • Create action plans to address challenges and opportunities (i.e. filling voids or increasing YoY same store sales).

  • Develop and implement customer specific sales plans to achieve revenue and distribution goals.

  • Conduct regular field visits with broker sales representatives.

  • Manage, influence, and lead relationships with brokers, distributors, and customers to achieve department goals.

  • Examine and report back on market conditions and events, customer issues and competitive intelligence.

  • Contact and schedule appointments with natural channel customers including business

reviews, line extensions, promotion programs, etc.

  • Willing to travel up to 60% and attend trade shows.

Your experience:

  • 2+ years experience in sales for the natural food channel.

  • Existing knowledge of the natural channel’s customers, distributors, brokers, etc. and a solid understanding of the natural channel’s customers, their requirements, needs and trends.

  • College degree in Sales, Business, Marketing or a related field.
