Qualifications:

  • 3 years of alcoholic beverage industry experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or relative work experience

  • Passion for Craft Beer, and a desire to continue a career in sales/marketing

  • A competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality

  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals

  • Demonstrated ability in planning, organization and managing multiple responsibilities

  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results, along with strong judgment and professional maturity

  • Certified Cicerone or Certified Beer Server, TIPs/TAPS Certified a plus

  • Working knowledge of Three Tier System a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

    • Previous experience with Sales Reporting tools preferred (ex. VIP, DivePort, Armadillo, Lilypad, Nielson, IRI, etc.)

    • Proficiency in sales analysis, and ability to incorporate into sales presentations to Supervisors, Distributors and key accounts.

       

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work in coordination with Supervisor & Distributor in assigned Southern California territory to increase Volume and Distribution

    • Territory encompasses: Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo Counties

  • Develop and execute strategic business plan

  • Increase Brand Visibility and Points of Distribution in Key Accounts

  • Partner with Distributor to ensure orders are placed, products are received and brand is growing at accounts

  • Submit a Monthly Planning Calendar and Weekly Planning Calendar

  • Work with all departments to plan the launch of new products/seasonal releases

  • Work in coordination with Supervisor and Logistics to oversee monthly order process and manage Distributor Inventory

  • Organize/Conduct educational meetings for Key Account staff, Retail clerks & Management/Buyers

  • Cold call prospective accounts in addition to arranged product presentations scheduled by meeting 

  • Ensure that the brewery’s Quality Control standards are clearly understood and enforced by Distributors and Retailers

  • Review and communicate sales data and market insights from previous period Supervisors

  • Attend and assist with selected beer festivals and events such as (but not limited to) brewery dinners, retail tastings, and On-Premise promotions

     

Requirements, Code of Conduct:

  • Valid Driver’s License, excellent driving record, and a reliable automobile.

  • This position will require the employee to be in direct contact with alcohol, and while there may be times when consuming beer on the job is allowable, we expect employees conduct themselves with the utmost responsibility and professionalism.  Any representative whether employee or contractor, who displays intoxication while performing the duties of this position will be terminated immediately.
