JOB  DESCRIPTION

The Director/Vice President of Finance & Operations reports directly to the US COO and is responsible for all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to financial reporting, financial controls, budget development and management, cost benefit analysis and cash flow forecasting.  Additionally, the position is responsible for demand planning, product sourcing, inventory management and logistics.  Finally, the position plays an active role in business development, negotiations with strategic partners and serves as confidante/advisor to the US COO. 

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide timely and accurate financial reports to local and global management.  The financial reports will represent fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the company and conform with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (USGAAP).
  • Ensure that adequate financial controls are in place to safeguard company resources. 
  • Partner with local and global management in the development of the annual business plan as well as periodic forecasts.  Proactively identify risks, opportunities and potential solutions, in an effort to deliver the financial targets set forth in the business plan. 
  • Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization’s needs.  Forecast the cash requirements for Aurantiaca USA LLC and secure funding from parent Company on a timely basis to finance the business activities consistent with the business plan and priorities.
  • Accountable for all aspects of the supply chain including demand planning, product sourcing, inventory management and logistics.  The overarching goal is to ensure that fresh Obrigado product is delivered on time to our retailers/distributors, consistent with the terms expressed in the purchase orders.  This includes communicating the monthly production plan to FRYSK Industrial Ltd in Brazil, coordinating with NDA Worldwide on the delivery of the containers from the local sea ports to our warehouse network, securing pallet positions for warehousing/storage/handling and arranging for transportation from the warehouse network to the “ship to” locations expressed in the purchase orders.  Periodically review the warehouse network to either expand or contract the number of warehouses to support the priorities of the business.
  • Coach, mentor and develop a high-performance, motivated Finance and Operations team.  This includes recruiting, hiring, training, and development of staff as well as providing timely feedback on performance.     
  • Take a value-added role within Aurantiaca USA LLC, beyond the traditional responsibilities within Finance and Operations.  This includes playing an active role in business development, negotiations with strategic partners, and serving as confidante/advisor to the US COO.

  • REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and operations within the Food and Beverage industry in the U.S. 
  • Experience should encompass start-up, private and public companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
  • Master’s degree (MBA) or Certified Public Account (CPA) highly desired.
  • Strong leadership, communication and staff development skills required.
  • Hands on experience in manufacturing, warehousing and logistics highly desired.
  • Large scale financial systems implementation such as SAP, CRM, ERP highly desired.
