Min. Work Experience:   5 years in sales, sales administration, or marketing, food industry preferred

Min. Education:                4-year undergraduate degree

Travel Expectation:          30%+ (primarily regional with occasional national trips)                               

Position Summary

The Sales Promotion Manager is responsible for planning and executing sales and promotion initiatives designed to engage current retailers and consumers, forge new retail partnerships, and boost consumer brand awareness and product trial. Key activities include direct account implementation, managing product sampling and demo programs, spearheading brand ambassador programs, and diving into special promotional events with gusto. Sales administration and analysis are also key roles, helping the team capture and interpret market data and signals.   


Key Responsibilities

  • Craft and manage effective sales promotion programs
  • Drive consumer engagement and trial by planning and managing all product demo programs
  • Work with our broker and distributor partners to capitalize on incremental growth opportunities
  • Assess the evolving competitive landscape for price, promotion and positioning benchmarks
  • Interpret local and regional market dynamics
  • Participate in industry trade shows and networking events
  • Support the preparation of sales analyses, forecasts
  • Report monthly performance, activity, insights including ROI metrics
  • Special projects, as required


    Skills and Experiences

  • Able to compile and analyze sales data and glean meaningful insights
  • Familiar with wholesale and retail landscape, ideally in the food industry
  • Self-directed, entrepreneurial, optimistic, energetic
  • Team, customer, and results-driven
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Increasing awareness of consumer marketing tactics
  • Creative problem solver with obsessive attention to detail
  • Strong organization, planning and multi-tasking skills
  • Comfortable using MS Office
