We are looking for our next Customer Relationship Manager. This position is an integral role, responsible for increasing revenue with existing distributors, generating new business, and growing overall market share. The Customer Relationship Manager will have complete ownership for sales in the assigned territory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Increase sales volume and distribution in the assigned territory by identifying new opportunities, active selling, and motivating distributor sales teams to prioritize the brand in their portfolio
  • Build strong relationships with distributors and retailers, collaborating on opportunities for increased sales
  • Strategize with internal teams to determine, plan, and execute distribution strategies to increase sales
  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential distributors and distribution channels to create programs with the objective of increasing sales
  • Increase case sales with existing distributors and aggressively pursue new business development opportunities
  • Quickly and accurately identify and qualify leads; follow up, and acquire new distributors
    • Make periodic visits into distributor markets to check on effectiveness of promotions, programs, packaging, etc.
      • Manage distributor marketing budget
      • Serve existing distributors by creating and optimizing sales and marketing plans through the use of incentives, POS, promotional activity, etc. in order to achieve target sales and KPIs
      • Meet monthly and annual KPIs, which are tied to bonus
      • Complete sales reports to be presented to Management
      • Monitor distributor performance and make recommendations for growth
      • Increase sales and grow relationships in key retailer accounts
      • Monitor sales to ensure tactics are effective and adjust as needed
      • Complete market research and monitor competitor activity by gathering market information for products, prices, merchandising equipment, etc. and adjusting tactics as needed
      • Make recommendations to increase the sale of company products
      • Maintain current documentation of distributor contact and account updates via CRM software

      REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

      • Track record of being customer-focused and building excellent relationships
      • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
      • Proven track record of developing and managing a consistent sales pipeline
      • Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills
      • Interpersonal relationship building and negotiating skills
      • Ability to lift 40 pounds
      • Prior experience in distributor and/or account management
      • Some travel required
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
      • CRM experience

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
      • 2-5 years of beverage or CPG experience
      • Professional, business-like appearance and demeanor
