The Market Sales Manager will cover and lead our success Sonoma, Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties.  In this position you will plan, organize, and control sales functions from conceptual state though to distribution execution.  You will own the market performance and grow our team to meet or exceed marketing, financial, corporate and promotional growth objectives.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate and deliver in overall sales strategy and goal planning for Flying Embers
  • View assigned territory with entrepreneurial eyes to seek out and close new opportunities to increase doors, placements, and velocity
  • Responsible for sales growth within area, maintain self-education on beverage trends in and out of the market and category
  • Prepare and submit weekly & monthly reporting in a timely and professional manner
  • Plans and participates in regular sales training activities including but not limited to sales meetings, time in trade, and retailer education
  • Ensures consistency of brand message in all marketing and sales activities throughout the region
  • Coach and grow Field Sales Rep team on prospecting, sales funnel management, creation of presentations, and supervising all sales and marketing functions within specified territory
  • Advises on hiring, training, and development to Field Sales Reps in area
  • Tracks and maintains up to date knowledge on performance of direct reports and a keen understanding of the performance of their existing and prospect accounts thru monthly score carding

Required Experience

  • Must have 3-5 years of Craft Beverage Sales experience
  • Candidates must have a passion for the craft beverage category as well as being well connected to the craft beer marketplace
  • Candidates must have a passion for and focus on health and wellness
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to interact effectively with distributors, management, and retailers
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • B2B sales experience with a strategic development mindset
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Must be able to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Karma and PowerPoint
