Are you a brewer looking to take on a new challenge and learn more about the business of brewing?  Two Roads Brewing Company, the largest craft brewery in CT and among the top 25 in the country, has a unique opportunity for a professional brewer who is ready to take his/her career in a new direction.  We are looking for a Brew Planning Manager to liaison between the brewing and logistics departments, while also building relationships with contract brewing customers.  In this role you will oversee new recipes and brewing changes for existing recipes for both Two Roads and contract brands, coordinate with all departments to create the brewing production schedule, and manage customer relations with our contract brewers. Excellent customer service and organizational skills are required, as well as a good sense of humor, and a willingness to take the road less travelled. The schedule will be primarily a standard Monday through Friday work week, and will require excellent computer skills (Excel, Outlook and the ability to use SCADA software).

Working Relationships
Reports to: Senior Manager of Logistics & Customer Service


Primary Responsibilities
• Coordinate with all departments to create the brewing production schedule and react to schedule changes
• Plan yeast availability and schedule shipments
• Coordinate production scheduling with available personnel by working with the Manager of Shift Operations
• Oversee onboarding procedures for new recipes and brewing changes for existing recipes for both Two Roads and contract brands and coordinate with brew staff when necessary
• Act as a liaison for contract brewing customer visits to Two Roads
• Communicate schedule changes or delays to contract customers and be the main point of contact for customer’s brewing concerns
• Estimate finished beer yields and update schedule accordingly
• Work with shift staff to understand recipe-specific procedures
• Develop and execute procedure for regular reporting of batch, trending, and quality data to contract customers.
• Manage recipe information in our SCADA software, Ignition
• Utilize data to track key process performance indicators (yields, separations, etc.)
• Travel off-site to contract brewing customer locations to build relationships and gain process insights


Required Skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Thorough knowledge of the brewing process; 1+ year of professional brewing experience (brewery or brewpub)
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with an eye for process improvement
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills (Vlookup, pivot tables, conditional formatting)
• Able to excel in a dynamic work environment
• Must be able to prioritize and multitask in order to meet deadlines
