National Sales Manager position

Fruit Bliss is an organic snack food company dedicated to pure and simple snacking!  Fruit Bliss’ line of rehydrated organic fruit has revolutionized the dried fruit set.  With the release of Fruit Bliss’ Fruit & Nut Bites, Fruit Bliss broadened its scope to break into the healthy snacking set with a bite sized combination of dried fruit and nuts.  Fruit Bliss is dedicated to wholesome snacking based on minimal organic pure ingredients.  Fruit Bliss also partners with non-profits that work to teach kids about healthy eating and healthy living.


  • Open and grow new accounts and build volume growth.
  • Work with brokers to create New Accounts target lists as well as strategies and plans to pitch them and secure the business
  • Develop annual, quarterly and monthly sales and distribution budgets
  • Develop annual quarterly and monthly sales promotional budgets
  • Manage brokers to get their attention, focus and enthusiasm on the brand
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations as well as XLS margins and pricing analysis for new and existing accounts
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to open new chain accounts
  • Work with brokers and other parties to secure distribution with Distributors and Wholesalers
  • Manage communication to distribution providers
  • Direct distributors on account priorities and account specific projects
  • Develop promotional calendars and marketing programs for new and existing accounts
  • Develop, maintain and communicate trade calendars by accounts
  • Execute promotional plans within budget
  • Analyze available data to understand trends at the account
  • Manage all financials related to the brands at the account, including quarterly budgets, establishing and reconciling KPIs for all programs, oversee analysis sales results to perform deep dive ROI analysis on all trade and shopper marketing programs
  • Prepare and attend industry trade shows
  • Maintain profitable sales growth across trade channels against assigned budgets and plans
  • Conduct weekly sales activity and sales pipeline reporting
  • Understand and align brand strategies with account plans
  • Provide input on account capabilities to marketing in the development of brand and account strategies
  • Remain constantly in tune with the industry and provide strategic input to grow the business 


  • 6+ years of experience in making national multi-unit account level calls in Natural, Specialty and Conventional Grocery, as well as convenience, drug, club store channels, distributors, wholesalers
  • Strong brand builder with the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and growing environment. Has a track record of successfully and rapidly growing small companies to the point of potential liquidity.
  • Proven track record in managing, motivating and engaging brokers
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of CPG industry, retail channels and account specific marketing necessary
  • Understanding of promotional tactics and various marketing vehicles, ranging from digital, coupons, print, sponsorships, media and more
  • Proven sales leadership and presentation abilities
  • Experience in getting, reading and interpreting Spins, IRI and other data sources
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to do accounts budgets and P&L. Ability to develop pricing programs
  • Experience working in a fast paced, hands-on, changing environment
  • Highly organized, strong time management, able to multi task, juggle priorities and communicate with numerous touch points
  • Proficient in MS Office:  Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations
  • Can handle set-backs, changes of direction without losing focus
  • Willing to pitch in and to do whatever is needed, whenever, no matter what the job title is
  • Able to prioritize well

  • Travel minimum 50%
  • Based anywhere in the US, quarterly meetings in Brooklyn, NY headquarters
