About the Position:

This full-time position will work closely and aligned with the General Manager to provide both an enjoyable guest experience and a positive work environment. A primary goal of our taproom is to not only sell our craft beer, but to provide an informative and educational experience for people to better understand how craft beer is made. This dynamic, senior level position will supervise the taproom and its staff while positioning the company for growth and maintaining sales.


Duties:

  • Coordinate daily FOH operations and supervise taproom staff (shift planning, training, hiring, etc)

  • Assisting staff during shifts (running food and drinks, bussing tables, etc)

  • Engage with customers during service to ensure satisfaction

  • Daily balancing of the previous night’s money drop and tip distribution

  • Weekly inventory and ordering of dry goods (Creation Gardens, Amazon, etc)

  • Completing weekly and monthly inventory tasks

  • Communicating beer and spirits needs for inventory

  • Handling all aspects of merchandise (including but not limited to ordering, stocking, inventory, and shipping)

  • Stocking, light cleaning, and organizing

  • Conducting fun and energetic tours of the brewery

  • Become a brand ambassador by engaging customers and as a liaison for private events

  • Develop a taproom experience designed to increase beer sales

  • Become an expert at the different aspects/styles of GBC’s beer offerings to educate all

  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements/Skills:

  • 1+ years management experience in a bar/restaurant or brewery/winery setting (prior brewery/craft beer experience preferred)

  • Knowledge and experience with (restaurant) POS System

  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings and events

  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle stress seamlessly

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of the local/regional beer scene

  • Self-sufficient and able to self-direct

  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees and the public while maintaining an accessible yet firm and authoritative demeanor

  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to multi-task

  • The ability to think on your feet and adapt to requests and changes

  • Time and schedule management
