Peeled Snacks – Retail Sales Ambassador

Job Description

 

POSITION PURPOSE: The Retail Sales Ambassador will serve as both a Sales Representative and Brand Ambassador. They will focus on building the Peeled Snacks brand within their region. They will be responsible for developing relationships with store managers/personnel to secure and maintain distribution and drive turns and volume.  This person will spend each day going from store to store to build these relationships and selling our product to any location that sells snacks. The main focus will be on Natural and Independent stores and the Supermarket Channel. They will build the market with existing customers and call on new customers. The Retail Brand Ambassador will also work any Marketing events in their region that would help our brand get exposure to our target market. This position will carry out engagements that will create brand awareness, encourage sampling, and build brand's social media base

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: 

  • Selling new distribution retail placement where snacks are sold
  • Maintaining distribution, proper inventories/rotation, selling improved shelf placement
  • Selling secondary product placement, i.e. front end, countertops, etc. to drive sales   
  • Selling direct and distributor merchandising/promotion plans
  • Leveraging sales tools to increase turns/volume
  • Capture and feedback competitive/market information and new ideas/opportunities
  • May occasionally attend industry tradeshows/customer events outside of region geography
  • Carry out engagements that will create brand awareness, encourage sampling, and build brand's social media base
  • Visiting as many retail stores as possible every day to give presentation, demo, samples and brochures to promote our products.
  • Other duties as customer base/market is developed and/or as assigned

Required Skills

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education/Certification/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • 1-2 years’ sales experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Regional travel required, including some overnights
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, & motivated
  • Passion for building relationships with customers and growing sales
