The National Account Manager will be responsible for cultivating relationships with key Regional and National retailers for Portland Cider Company. This role will be responsible for hitting sales goals, securing points of distribution (POD’s), cultivating relationships with retailers and working with the Marketing Team on programs for the off premise. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational/leadership abilities, superior attention to detail, compelling communication abilities, and analytical skills.


  • Create and present fact-based presentations to Regional and National retailers that will:


    o Increase points of distribution

    o Improve shelf position

    o Gain Ads and improve pricing

    o Drive displays

  • Establish relationships and maintain high level of interaction and communication with retail chain buyers and their respective division and district management teams
  • Work with distributor teams to ensure seamless execution of programming, distribution, and pricing changes
  • Handle the shameless amount of paperwork heaped upon suppliers from National accounts, including monthly pricing sheets, new item forms, schematic changes, etc.
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams to create the right pricing structure in new states and ensure all our brands are competitive in our existing states
  • Work with the Marketing Team to create marketing programs for off-premise retailers that will help drive rate of sale and cases on the floor


  • 4+ years of experience calling on Regional and/or National Accounts
  • Prior food and beverage industry experience preferred
  • Experience managing a team and/or distributor
  • Established connections with key chains within the Grocery, C-Store, Drug, Mass and Club channels are a definite plus
  • Broad based knowledge of beverage marketing, sales, and merchandising strategies.  Adult beverage sales experience strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of syndicated data (Nielsen)
  • Strong written and oral communication, including ability to develop and deliver executive level presentations
  • Duties includes travel, evening and weekend work time devoted to market visits and retailer entertainment


    o Travel 25-30% of the time (35-40% if candidate is in Seattle)

    o Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) VIP and Karma

    o Must be able to meet company driving standards (No DUI within the past three years)
