Overview
DuClaw Brewing Company, a rising force in the craft beer industry bent on world domination, is in search of an experienced, full-time Canning Line Operator. Our environment is fast-paced and demanding; working here is challenging, but fun, too. Also, there’s free beer.
Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Operate all aspects of Wild Goose canning line: filling, CIP, troubleshooting, & maintenance
- Execute all cleaning, sanitation, and prep for tanks to receive finished beer
- Conduct maintenance on all canning line machinery
- Monitor and control carbonation levels on all beers
- Operate & maintain DO/carb meter to ensure consistent beer quality
- Rack beer into kegs and casks as directed by brewmaster
- Clean and maintain all cooperage on a regular basis
- Ensure that all beer is produced to standards and specification by following recipes and procedures as set by Brewmaster
- Dutifully follow best practices and safety requirements
- Attend and engage in brewery staff meetings as required
- Willingness to participate in festivals and promotional events as needed while representing the company and the brand in a professional manner
- Perform all job functions within the structure described in the Employee handbook
Job Requirements
- Min. 1 year of relevant brewery experience
- Min. High school diploma or equivalent (formal brewing education and/or college degree) preferred
- Able to read, write, and calculate basic math
- Ability to work and communicate well with all staff
- Detail-oriented, organized, ability to keep accurate records
- Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing/manufacturing settling
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift 55 lbs. from ground to shoulder high
- Able to lift 110 lbs. from ground to waist high and moving 150 lbs. along the floor
- Able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders
- Able to work in small and confined spaces
- Able to execute reasonable safety procedures, including working with chemicals
- Able to work in a loud environment
