Bear’s Fruit was founded in 2017 and quickly became the #1 kombucha in NYC health & wellness space. Now that we’ve launched in retail (Whole Foods Northeast, FreshDirect, Fairway onboard) and signed with multiple distributors, we’re in the market for a scrappy, hard working individual to help us kick sales into high gear in the NY Metro & Northeast region.

As the DSM for Bear’s Fruit in the Northeast (with a focus on NYC Metro & Tri-State Area to start), you’ll work directly with our distributors, retailers and internal team, including the founders. Bear’s Fruit needs someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who's excited to play a critical role in helping us grow from a bear cub to a full-blown grizzly.


  • Develop a sales strategy to hit specific monthly and annual business targets

  • Bring in new chains and priority accounts across Tri-State & Northeast region.

  • Become best friends with buyers/stakeholders at existing accounts to sell in additional SKUs, additional facings, new placements, and other opportunities to grow volume

  • Work hand-in-hand with distributor(s) to keep Bear’s Fruit top of mind, develop incentives & promotions and attack sales together

  • Identify and manage the best sales brokers and merchandisers to help Bear’s Fruit expand strategically and ensure stellar retail execution  

  • Monitor sales like a hawk and provide thorough weekly recaps to flag successes, discuss challenges, and identify growth opportunities.


  • 5 years of sales experience

  • 2-3 years experience in NYC non-alc beverage space or natural product industry.
    Knowledge and experience in traditional retail and FSOP channels is strongly preferred.

  • Spanish Speaker Strongly Preferred. Korean fluency a big time plus.

  • Results Driven. Thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment with goals and deadlines.

  • Strong Negotiator. Must be able to sell Bear’s Fruit effectively in written and oral communications

  • Passionate -  for Bear’s Fruit, the kombucha category, and a healthy lifestyle.

  • Self-starter. Takes initiative, doesn’t require hand holding and works well in a team environment. We have zero patience for egos.

  • Detail Oriented. Little things make a big difference: Must be organized and on top of time management.

  • Analytical Thinker. Excellent grasp of "retail math" including calculation of margins and trade pricing scenarios, ability to analyze reports from distributors and retailers and provide summary with any insights.

  • NYC based with some local/ regional travel on occasion. Valid driver’s license.

  • Solid human being.
