DESCRIPTION

 

The Highballer is a highly engaging Spirits Marketing Expert that focuses on leading local activation/execution to drive awareness, education, trial, and velocity for the Highball cocktail.  In this role, the Highballer will apply their knowledge and experience in the spirits category to grow trade relationships, create consumer demand, and manage on-going events. The Highballer has outstanding organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple programs while tracking progress throughout, and a drive to consistently exceed expectations.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Be a champion of the Highball cocktail, generating excitement for the serve among accounts, trade and consumers
  • Support sales teams on sell-in of base sku and supporting assets
  • Effectively present the brand(s) and Highball serve to trade and accounts to drive adoption and menu placements to drive incremental case sales
  • Demonstrate the ability to be highly relatable to on-premise trade and staff to drive awareness, education, support and sales for the Highball cocktail via consumer engagements
  • Lead the local implementation - create, build, execute - experiential/trade programs (on/non-premise) for Highball
  • Execute national programs around the serve for your market
  • Identify, develop and facilitate core brand and Highball cocktail training programs for account staff, event staff, consumers and trade
  • Manage on-site event vendors including caterers, bartenders/mixologists and other contractors
  • Build and leverage positive relationships with distributors, trade, influencers and accounts
  • Partner and support regional marketing & local on-premise sales teams to build brands among target audiences to achieve velocity growth and performance against defined metrics
  • Actively seek out and recommend potential consumer activation opportunities and target accounts for the brand(s)
    • Analyze reporting, program metrics, and KPIs to measure adoption and effectiveness
    • Manage utilization and storage of assets- including branded point of sale materials and event elements
    • Provide local support for market visits by national brand ambassadors
    • Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to, event recaps, timelines, status updates, expense reports, budget tracking and ongoing reporting

      REQUIREMENTS

       

      • Must be 21 years of age
      • Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in spirits industry, on-premise/trade preferred
      • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
      • Previous experience in event and on-site activation required
      • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
      • Microsoft Office capabilities
      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
      • Extensive knowledge of local spirits market including local and state legal compliance guidelines
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities within assigned timelines and deadlines
      • Reliable transportation, clean driving record and proof of auto insurance
      • Outgoing self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities
      • Previous experience as a Bartender, Brand Ambassador, Portfolio Manager or Field Activation Specialist
      • Budget management skills
        • Outstanding trade connections in the market
