Our Need: A driven, entrepreneurial Director of Sales to grow Muse + Metta from a largely intrastate company to a major regional kombucha brand poised to become a national player. The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue and profit goals. He/she will be responsible for securing new business, analyzing sales statistics to maximize productivity, developing and managing expense budgets, managing field managers, and regularly synthesizing and presenting imperative data to our entire team.
Director of Sales Responsibilities
Cultivate and Implement Growth Strategy
Work with our leadership team to develop revenue goals and annual account plans (ex. promotions, ads, Field Marketing support)
Budgets (ex. marketing, travel, personnel etc.), P&L management, and margin management
Pull and analyze data and commit to KPI’s (ex. revenue, velocity, and new accounts,)
Direct and Manage Third-Party Partners
Distributors (National and DSD)
Essential Retail Customers
Direct and Oversee Daily Operations with Sales Division
Develop Full understanding of target markets (ex. Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami and beyond)
Hire, train, and maintain strategic sales force
Director of Sales Qualifications
5+ years of experience, 2+ years management role
Experience working within an entrepreneurial culture with a “do-what-it-takes” mentality
Excellent verbal and written communicator who will accurately and passionately share our message with others
High level of expertise with analyzing information and problem-solving attitude
Genuine passion for health and wellness
Successful track record of driving sales within a high-growth environment that meets or exceeds sales targets on a year-over-year basis.
Experienced with Diverse Distributor Models (UNFI/KeHe, DSD, Direct, etc.) with a keen understanding of pricing architecture and distributor incentives including manufacturer MCBs, OIs, co-op programs, etc.
Experience selling in diverse sales channels, including independents, Natural & Specialty Grocery Chains, and Conventional Grocery Chains
Work independently, but also work well with all vital functions of the organization (ex. Operations and Finance)
Ability to efficiently work remotely
Ability to travel
Would prefer candidate to be based in Nashville, Atlanta or Charlotte
