Brewery Sales Representative

Job Description

Texas Ale Project is a craft brewery in the heart of Dallas, TX established in 2014. We're the first brewery to be built from the ground up in Dallas since the late 1800s. The brewery prides itself on its finely crafted ales and is in search of an experienced Sales Representative to represent the brands and build lasting customer relationships. An entrepreneurial spirit and proven business development skills are necessary for this role.


  • Build effective business relationships with existing customers in restaurants, bars and specialty stores
  • Consistently conduct 12-25 customer visits and calls daily to grow sales
  • This role involves monthly travel
  • Be results-oriented on a daily basis
  • Partner with the distributor to ensure inventory levels are maintained, shelves are restocked, displays are established, sell-in additional shelf space, rotate product, plan promotion activities and address customer needs to grow business.
  • Set weekly work plans to achieve sales goals and customer retention targets
  • Ensure proper follow-through on new leads and customer requests for events
  • Engage with our consumers at promotional events and educate on Texas Ale Project beers
  • Conduct weekly sales analysis to identify business development opportunities
  • Lead and consult with distributors to build territory business
  • Schedule and execute weekly marketing events for on and off-premise customers, including in-store samplings and pint nights
  • Effectively manage marketing budget and one's return on investment

Job Qualifications and Requirements:


  • 4-year college degree highly preferred, High School Diploma required

Minimum Work Experience:

  • 2+ years of sales experience (beer or other alcohol sales highly preferred)
  • 2+ years of growing sales and customer management

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Proven track record of growing sales and maintaining excellent customer service
  • Understanding of craft beer styles, market trends and beer quality basics
  • Proficient in sales tracking and analysis using Excel and able to learn new software easily
  • Demonstrated organization skills
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship management
  • Ability to work evening and weekend events
  • Ability to frequently drive a car, reach, twist, stoop, crouch, stand and walk
