Anheuser-Busch is actively seeking a Belgian Beer Sales Manager position (Full Time Contract Position) to support Belgian Beer brands on behalf of Anheuser-Busch in California. Reporting to the On-Premise Director, this position is responsible for overseeing the On Premise growth of Anheuser-Busch’s (AB’s) Belgian beers (Stella Artois, Hoegaarden & Leffe) within their territory. The Belgian Beer Sales Manager will manage the execution of On Premise programming in key accounts. A successful candidate has an:

  • Ability to combine experience & insight to determine how to best meet program needs
  • Ability to identify problems and provide solutions for the same
  • Ability to set and communicate clear, aligned goals and monitor progress
  • Must be highly motivated and results oriented

The Sales Manager will be responsible for the largest and most influential Belgian beer On Premise accounts in the market, working to increase overall sales of these brands by increasing rate of sale, securing features, increasing chalice distribution and executing activations.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring that AB’s Belgian beers are top of mind for the entire On Premise sales force through routine communication.
Experience Requirements:

  • Must reside or able to work in Oakland, CA area

  • Must own a Smart Phone.
  • Must be available to work full time with some evenings and weekends
  • Engaging, outgoing, approachable personality
  • Passion for meeting new people and evangelizing outstanding products
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related industry
  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales of Beer, Craft Beer, and/or Spirits
  • Must have strong connections with On Premise retailer groups
  • Proven Leadership Ability/Advanced Supervisory Skills/Demonstrated Coaching Skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Highly self-motivated and results oriented
  • Strong internal and external customer orientation
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work both individually and in a team environment
  • Ensure compliance with all legal guidelines, Wholesaler Equity Agreement, and Anheuser-Busch standards and policies


  • Oversee the On Premise growth of Belgian beer brands within identified wholesaler and accounts
  • Call on 100 accounts, focusing on volume and rate of sale
  • Gain incremental features and glassware distribution (varies by brand)
  • Execute POCM and brand specific activations
  • Build relationships with wholesaler to gain additional traction in the marketplace
  • Manage trade spend and POCM budget efficiently
  • Communicate and monitor results with wholesaler and AB Corporate team
  • Develop and sustain great relationships with key accounts and staff
  • Represent the company and its products to customers in a positive manner
  • Maintain a positive working partnership with local Wholesaler
  • Monitor event execution while ensuring all key brand KPI’s are achieved
  • Submit program deliverables accurately and on time each week
  • Work with all departments to resolve customer issues
  • Manage assigned account activities through maintaining regular call frequency, Draught and Key Account Communications, Sales and Distribution Goals, and Account Level Objective Accountability
  • Knowledge of local alcoholic beverage laws
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
