High Grade Beverage is a franchised wholesale beverage distributor of malt beverages, wine, spirits and soft drinks. HGB sells and services retailers in 7+ counties in the state of New Jersey. We have been in business for almost 80 years and are looking for a dedicated and experienced Beverage Sales Representative to grow with us.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a valid and current NJ. drivers license and be able to drive 60% of the day.
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in sales and management preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Spanish bi-lingual is preferred.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Excellent oral, computer and written communications skills. Must able to read, write, and interpret English documents and communication.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Successfully sell, distribute and negotiate placement of existing and new products.
  • Secure distribution of new brands and packages.
  • Execute monthly sales objectives and goals as related to business activities.
  • Maintain a regular schedule of weekly appointments with accounts in assigned area.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations.
  • Conduct promotions in accounts as required
  •  Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from customer listings, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone, primarily to sell volume and increase distribution.
