JOB DESCRIPTION

Cascade Brewing is seeking an experienced territory sales representative to cover our Oregon and SW Washington markets. This position will serve as the primary contact between Cascade Brewing and our retail partners and distributors in the assigned territory. The Sales Representative will be responsible for sales of both Cascade Brewing sour products through our distribution outlets as well as our non-sour products through self-distribution.

 

JOB DUTIES (include but not limited to):

  • Be an enthusiastic advocate of Cascade Brewing’s lines of sour and non-sour products
  • Generate and support sales with retail accounts and distributors in Oregon and Southwest Washington with a focus on the greater Portland-metro area
  • Monitor price, placement and inventory of products in key accounts and communicate with distributors and retailers to accomplish set goals
  • Pursue new on and off-premise distribution opportunities
  • Call on existing on and off-premise accounts to secure new distribution and maintain current business
  • Sell and deliver kegs and cases of non-sour products to local accounts
  • Execute on and off-premise events that generate brand awareness and additional Cascade business
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with account staff, buyers, and owners
  • Participate in crew drives, distributor rep work-withs, and other sales activities
  • Work with Sales Manager and distributor partners to execute and achieve sales goals
  • Complete necessary administrative reporting and communications in a timely manner
  • Travel to other territories for crew drives and sales meetings as needed
  • Help generate marketing materials and social media content when appropriate
  • Any other duties as assigned, must be willing to wear many hats

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years in craft beer sales
  • Existing knowledge and relationships within Portland Metro area craft beer community
  • Passion for craft beer and the industry
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory and out of territory as needed
  • Strong communication skills: verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to sell in numerous ways and be a “chameleon”
  • Valid drivers license with good driving history
  • Reliable transportation to drive to and from account calls
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver full kegs
