We are hiring a Sales Planning Manager to work with our VP of Sales, creating short term and long term sales forecasts. This role provides meaningful and actionable information utilizing various data points to facilitate effective decision-making processes related to the sales of Humm Kombucha products. This role will oversee all the day-to-day sales planning activities and work cross-functionally with the Production Planning and Inventory Management teams to coordinate activities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you will ensure that customer forecasts are accurate. You will be excellent at mining syndicated data and other reports to assist in sales projections. This will be done by providing, but not limited to, promotion lift analysis, stores selling changes, seasonality fluctuations, base velocity trends, competitive activity, geographical flavor analysis, and category growth trends. This role is linked very closely with all field sales managers to understand marketplace opportunities/risks, customer planning timelines, and category reset dates. You will assist in objective category management analysis and recommendations for field sales.
What’s Required for Consideration:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field.
- 5 + years of CPG sales forecasting and analytics experience in Food/Bev.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with co-workers and management.
- Takes initiative and can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must possess strong analytical skills along with advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Ability to work with and motivate people from various disciplines to improve forecasts & planning.
- Advanced proficiency with numeric data analysis.
