Role:

We are looking for a National Account Manager to support our largest most strategic accounts.  This role can be based in any major metropolitan US market, preferably in Austin, and will report to the Director of Natural and Specialty.  The individual will be instrumental to the support of one of our most strategic accounts and will have Global revenue responsibility, will own sales penetration and growth strategy plan, will work collaboratively with Regional Sales Managers and our Trade Marketing Team on message creation, distribution, training and will work closely with sales operations and sales analyst teams on program ROI and evaluating go to market and category optimization. The role will drive our strategic relevance with Whole Foods and be a liaison to education and execution at the field level.  We seek an individual who is familiar with the Whole Foods structure, with existing relationships, a team player and an entrepreneur who thrives in fast paced, dynamic environment who thrives with change, as our culture is a curious one and we continually information gather, evaluate and evolve. 

 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Global relationship and revenue responsibility for Whole Foods Market
  • Increasing alignment and strategic relevance between the two organizations and business plan execution
  • Working with the regional teams (inside WFM and VP) to support and drive incremental growth through business review process and drive business process improvement with field sales
  • Working closely with sales and trade marketing management on trade spend and setting appropriate expectations with WFM
  • Evaluating sales promotional/trade spending and effectively track ROI
  • Planning for, participating in, and supporting trade shows, trade events and major sales events


Who you are:

  • You have 7+ years of previous selling experience, preferably in a startup and/or CPG
  • You have established business cadence with national accounts, preferably Whole Foods
  • You have a demonstrated record of success and overachievement
  • Motivated, adaptable and able to work with little direction
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing company and able to adapt to change quickly
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and proactively looks for and suggests improvements
  • You have an innate curiosity and your natural tendency is to act upon it
  • You have great listening, negotiating, and problem-solving skills with a dose of humility
  • You are a student of selling who finds personal satisfaction and joy in closing and building a business
  • You celebrate your success, and the successes of your team even more
  • Well-connected in the health and wellness, fitness or beauty markets and have strategic relationships
  • Willing to travel up to 50% (including nights and weekends)
