Job brief

The Director of sales is an executive level position. The director will act as the department head of all outside sales at Outerbelt Brewing Co. This person will identify and implement a successful sales operation strategy in collaboration with peer department heads and the ownership group.

Areas of Control

  • All Outside Sales Operations
  • Design, implementation, and articulation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Global Sales strategies
  • New Market and Territory Establishment and Growth

Responsibilities

  • Daily Sales Operations
    • Sales, delivery, and invoicing
    • Operational Efficiency
    • Establishment of lead time from sale to delivery
  • Quality Control
    • Delivery quality control measures
    • Manage outside sales customer satisfaction
    • Customer response quality control
    • Maintain brand integrity
    • Stay up to date on all legal restrictions regarding brewery product in each market and ensure that all initiatives are executed within those limitations
  • Department Team Management
    • Establishment and adherence to KPIs
    • Team motivation, management, and appraisal
    • Territory and Resource management
    • Market education
  • Organizational Collaboration
    • Work effectively across departments
  • Financial Management

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Manager, Director of Sales, or similar
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager
  • Extensive beverage and beer knowledge, with ability to stay organized in fast-paced environments
  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance a plus
