About the Tap Room Event Coordinator Role:

Lord Hobo Brewing Co. (LHBCo) is hiring a full-time Event Coordinator based in Massachusetts who will report to the Executive General Manager. This position is responsible for driving private/semi-private events in the Woburn tap room location while assisting in the generation and execution of the LHBCo tap room produced events. They will lead the entire catering/event program including the conceptualization of the program details, marketing plan and initiatives, sales, and oversight of the day to day execution of events.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Formalize the systems, pricing, policies, and procedures for the execution of various tiers of events with the help of the Executive General Manager

  • Direct the creation of marketing materials including pamphlets, one-sheets, and web based sales sheets

  • Conduct market research and identify opportunities

  • Create a sales strategy to achieve quarterly sales goals 

  • Liaise with clients to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Negotiate terms, fees, and write contracts for each event with potential clients and vendors

  • Organize facilities and manage all event’s details including creating BEO’s, coordinating event staff with the floor manager, managing vendors on site (if used), and execution of the predetermined schedule of events

  • Assist with the scheduling and be on site to manage the top tier events

  • Work closely with the Chef in the coordinating and scheduling of events that the tap room is catering

  • Assist with the planning and execution of quarterly/monthly Lord Hobo produced tap room events

  • Collect data pre and post events to better inform decisions and report to Executive General Manager

  • Propose ideas to better improve the event revenue and systems

Event Coordinator Qualifications / Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years event planning / coordinating experience

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Passion for the hospitality industry

  • Outgoing and high energy; enjoys high volume of public interaction; positive attitude and strong verbal communication skills

  • Ability to understand and collaborate effectively with guest’s specific requests

  • Working knowledge of Excel, G Suite, and POS systems

  • Passionate and aware of trends within food and beverage industry

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings and weekends

  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs

  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for long periods of time 

  • Must have reliable transportation
