Brew Monkey Beer Company is a new brewery in San Antonio, TX.  We are a production brewery with a tap room looking to make a splash in the San Antonio market.  Our beer will be served in the tap room and will be distributed to the greater San Antonio area.  We will be brewing classic craft styles of beer to the highest degree of excellence.  At Brew Monkey good enough simple isn’t.


We are looking for a driven individual who is not afraid of long hours brewing and creating great beer.  Integrity and trust are of the upmost importance.  This employee will need to be self-motivated with an excellent eye for details.  The ideal employee is someone who wants to grow with Brew Monkey and become a long-term employee of the company.


This is a full-time hourly job.


Primary Duties:

-Participate in sensory panels

-Attend staff meetings

-Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness at all times. -Maintain a sanitary environment, which includes but not limited to cleaning floors, walls, tanks and ceilings. -Execute proper sampling and analysis of daily brews in accordance with schedule and good brewing practices. Monitor vital wort indicators including but not limited to target gravity, pH, BUs and fermentability. -Responsible for wort production including but not limited to raw material handling, milling, mash/lauter operation, wort boiling, cooling, and BH CIP.

-Manage Inventory -Responsible for CIP and preparation of fermentation, and bright beer.

-Responsible for finished beer handling including but not limited to carbonation, DO monitoring and recording, and packaging preparation. -Responsible for proper handling of yeast pitching, pitch rates and CIP. -Clean Kegs.

-Loading kegs for delivery

-Delivery of kegs occasionally -Package beer in kegs and sometimes crowlers or cans. -Maintain TTB paperwork and brew logs.

-Communicate clearly. -Participate in company events as needed while maintaining professional composure.


-Brewing experience of 2+ years (homebrewing or professional)-professional preferred

-Understand all concepts of beer making and brewing.

-Intense commitment to learn

-High school diploma. Formal brewing education preferred. -Work on a ladder to height of 15 feet. -Physically be able to bend over, twist, kneel, climb stairs, stand all day, lift 55+ pounds, work in a non-temperature controlled environment and repeatedly handle hot and cold liquids. -Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8-10 hours per day). -Drive a small truck with a clean driving record. -Strictly follow recipes and standard operating procedures while recommending ways of improving them.

-Willingness to work occasional weekends, holidays and overtime as needed

-Work safely with chemicals

-Work safely in a loud and hot environment 

-Must be 21 or older
