We are currently hiring our next Associate Brand Manager in Milton, DE.


The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for managing marketing tactics and executions for Dogfish Head Brewery and Dogfish Head Distilling Co. that further the brands’ sales efficacy and long-term equity.

The role will report into the Brand Manager and manage key components of the Annual Marketing Plan, including consumer and retailer programs, selling materials and point of sale, competitor tracking and analysis, internal project management and communication, and support with Creative advertising campaigns.

What You’ll Do:

  • Project manage key components of the marketing plan by collaborating with cross functional teams. Ownership of key deliverables includes: creating of project plans and presentations; timely internal communication of plans; managing regular cross-functional meetings to ensure execution is on time and on budget; creating post-program analysis by gathering data and insight from key stakeholders across the organization.

  • Oversight of retailer programs that engage consumers and retailers to support distribution and brand visibility.

  • Generation, tracking, and analysis of data and reports that lead to insights that drive action plans.

  • Manage the budget as well as the design, procurement, distribution of point of sale for a seasonal/quarterly program that are on time and on budget, with support from key partners.

  • Create selling tools that provide the sales organization ample, yet simple and compelling rationale for customers to support brand initiatives.

  • Develop and manage a competitor and consumer trend analysis program, which will provide key insights on emerging trends in our industry and beyond.

  • Work with the internal Creative team to managing the on time delivery of media campaign assets, as well as providing analysis of advertising campaign reports.

  • Influence the creation of annual strategic and operating plans by providing unique insights and observations.

  • Generate creative ideas that support brand needs that gain consumer and customer traction.

  • Support the brand at events, promotional activities, sales meetings.

  • Support the Brand Manager on the development and implementation of a brand plan for driving sustainable, long-term growth while delivering the budget and strategy for the current fiscal. 

    What We Are Looking For:

  • 3-6 years experience in a results-oriented consumer product marketing role at a marketing driven firm.  Beverage industry or traditional CPG experience is preferred, but not necessary.

  • Proven experience in project planning and management, budgeting and financial analysis, and product positioning.

  • Experience in developing consumer marketing communications.

  • Analytical by nature and a champion of data-driven decision making. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, add value and provide action-oriented recommendations in-line with business objectives.

  • Self-starter with the ability to take direction, work independently, and proactively bubble up roadblocks to ensure projects stay on track.

  • Detail-oriented – crossing I’s and dotting T’s is just the beginning; perfectionist tendencies are welcomed.

  • A multi-tasker that can smoothly pivot between priorities in a dynamic work environment.

  • Strong verbal skills and the ability to communicate confidently to leadership.

  • Ability to thrive in team-based settings by embracing a collaborative approach to projects.
