The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of brands including but not limited to the following functions:
Developing and executing profitable trade sales and marketing programs
Driving program completion in partnership with the sales team
Creating and implementing annual business plans by analyzing:
Trade and consumer promotion effectiveness
Consumer and customer sales data
Managing P&L for brands to ensure margin integrity
Building retail presentations to support sales team calls
Providing regular reporting to brand owners (internal or external) to show progress against plan
Partnering with sales and purchasing teams to deliver accurate demand forecasts
Other duties as determined by management
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience in classic CPG consumer marketing, including knowledge of Trade Marketing (especially promotion evaluation), digital marketing and new product development. In addition, the person should demonstrate a proven history delivering both top and bottom line results. Individual should be able to work both autonomously and in a team environment and proactively deliver business solutions. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an ever-evolving environment and will bring a positive attitude to the team.
Strong thought leadership/strategic marketing skills
Ability to lead/partner with clients/brand owners. Strong negotiation/persuasion skills
Exceptional time management, project management, and organizational skills
Comfortable analyzing data from a variety of sources
Ability to interpret and apply market research data
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Strong computer (Microsoft Office Suite) skills
Ability to travel up to 10%
Minimum of 6 years of marketing experience (Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree is required
Master’s Degree (MBA) is preferred
Position reports to Director of Marketing. The position is full time, exempt and is available immediately.
