Outer Range Brewing Co. Brewer Position

Outer Range Brewing Co. seeks to hire an experienced brewer to grow with the company who is proficient in all aspects of green, dry hopped, barrel-aged, and brite beer production as well as packaging operations.  Position requires knowledge of yeast propagation and production QAQC, capability of overseeing chain of raw materials, and ability to ensure end product is crafted to established standards from 15bbl brewhouse wort production to end product. 

The job is best suited for someone who wants to brew on a daily basis and grow into increasing areas of responsibility related to raw material inventory management, to include yeast program management.  Understanding of raw materials and how they create the end product is essential.

Job Duties and Expectations

Work with head brewer to produce craft beer at the highest quality standards

Ensure beer samples are taken for pH/CO2/DO levels

CIP and SIP brewery equipment

Learn and operate Orchestrated brewery management software system

Inventory management

Dry hop 15 and 30 bbl fermenters

Drive and operate forklift

Troubleshoot and solve equipment issues

Uphold safety and QA/QC system


3-5 years of experience in production brewery

Lab experience a plus

Formal brewing education

Lift 55lbs as required, move kegs as required

Understanding of raw materials and how they relate to critical process steps

Professionalism, Punctuality, Reliability
