Duvel Moortgat USA is internationally recognized as a leader in the high-end beer segment. We are currently seeking an Off-Premise Specialist for the New York City market. This position will manage and direct sales and merchandising activities for assigned local NYC-based Chain call-points, as well as manage the territory of Long Island.  The hired candidate will reside in New York City, preferably Long Island.   • Develop and maintain collaborative long-term relationships with local NYC chain buyers and Long Island accounts
  • Develop collaborative relationships and alignment with both distributor and DUSA field sales to ensure execution against our priorities; motivate distributor sales force to achieve shared sales objectives and increase brand awareness and consumption
  • Deliver Duvel USA account revenue and distribution goals as outlined
  • Track and monitor progress and execution in all identified accounts and against specific chain programming and limited release commitments
  • Conduct analysis and develop presentations that increase DUSA feature / display activity, expand distribution and optimize shelf position, which in turn will grow volume and market share
  • Ensure the implementation of all sales and marketing programs for the entire portfolio (Duvel Imports, Boulevard Brewing Co, and Brewery Ommegang)
  • Focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines across distribution channels
  • Identify key accounts that are not being penetrated with Duvel USA products and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts
  • Ensure proper merchandising of on- and off-premise
  • Plan and execute on- and off-premise promotions / samplings (note: evenings; weekend festivals)
  • Conduct wait-staff / bartender educations, beer tastings and beer dinners
  • Be responsible for the allocation and use of point-of-sale materials
  • Collect data on pricing, distribution, volume and general market information; compile and submit reports required for the sales division
  • Operate effectively within corporate and budgetary guidelines
  • Observe all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of malt beverages
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Chain management experience preferred
  • One to two years malt beverage experience, preferably with at least one year at a wine or beer distributor
  • Ability to interface with various levels of management, at wholesale as well as retail
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to speak in front of large groups, conduct trainings/promotions
  • Strong work ethic; demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities
  • An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality

  • Strong judgment and professional maturity
  • Excellent problem solving skills; mathematically proficient
  • Willingness to travel overnight and a good driving record
