We are searching for an organized, hard working Production Planning Manager who is passionate about food and beverage preparation and education.

The Production Planning Manager will ensure the smooth operation of the brewing, packaging, and supply chain process through accurate planning, forecasting, and ordering of materials. Efficiently and effectively optimizing the brewing, packaging, and supply chain process driven by Safety, Quality & Efficiency criteria as well as managing projects and other continuous improvement activities. Guarantees production of consistently excellent beer on time to meet the demand of all Hangar 24 Distributors.”

Key areas of Responsibility

  • Is responsible for adhering to all rules, regulations, policies, programs and related Hangar 24 HACCP, GMP, 6S etc. to ensure safety / quality / efficiency of Hangar 24 products and equipment.
  • Ensures adherence to established SOPs and implements changes to improve processes with approval of the VP of Brewing Operations
  • Forecasting the Brewing and Packaging Schedule to keep all SKUs in stock
  • Organizing, Planning and Ordering of materials for Brewing and Packaging Operations
  • RM-PM (Raw and Packaging Material) Planning and ordering
  • Responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting Production performance to key stakeholders
  • Project Management
  • Liaising with Brewing, Packaging, Warehouse, Quality, Finance and Sales department to ensure there is a good level of inter-departmental communication and that the Production department’s plan is clear
  • Tracking POs (Purchase Orders) to ensure that Hangar 24 receives the correct goods, at the correct prices and quality
  • Ensuring that all beer leaving the brewery is consistently excellent in Quality. Using organoleptic checks, Physical chemical, and microbiological analysis
  • Ensuring accurate records are kept and written procedures are followed
  • Ensuring all products and processes meet relevant Food Hygiene/ Accreditation standards
  • Increasing your understanding of the art and science of brewing through study and investigation.
  • Seeks ways to promote and encourage on-going development through seminars, classes, training of all brewing employees
  • Translates the overall production plan into day to day, shift to shift tasking
  • Input production data and post transactions into Vicinity Brew
  • Accurate tracking and reporting of packaging data, including output, efficiencies and posting transactions into Vicinity Brew


  • Proven experience of planning and project management delivery ideally within the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry and the ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills: Advanced MS Excel, Access, Share Point, Visio, are a must
  • Strong organization skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with using ERP systems: SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Vicinity Brew or similar
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the changing demands of the business and production schedule
  • Strong understanding of process controls
  • Ability to prioritize and manage own workload
  • Strong knowledge of Brewing practices and different beers
  • A good understanding of HACCP and government regulations
  • Warehouse environment with manufacturing hazards, such as hoses, heights, hot water and moving machinery
  • Physically and mentally demanding (e.g. moving heavy hoses, frequent cleaning and measuring chemical levels)
  • Day shift and night shift hours
  • Minimal travel required
