Lindemans ( is one of the oldest beers around, brewing special Lambic and fruit beers since 1822. It is produced in the region of Brussels, Belgium, with a unique spontaneous fermentation with yeast that is in the air. The family owned brewery has been active on the US market for nearly 40 years. For its export and distribution in the US, it relies on a local partner. They introduced the Lindemans Lambic beers in 1979 (first Lambics marketed in the USA). Nowadays, Lindemans in the US is being distributed by about 200 wholesalers nationally. To this day, Lindemans is the best-selling brand in the category. With almost 10.000 barrels and a turnover of over $4M, the United States remain one of the key export markets for the brewery.
The role
Lindemans is looking for an ambitious country marketing manager to take hold of its brand and marketing in the US. Our goal is to appeal to a broader audience, through new marketing channels, introducing Lindemans moments into consumers’ life.
The marketing manager will focus on:

  • Consumer research – in collaboration with the local business development manager, conduct focus groups, customer interviews and tasting panels in different areas (online and offline)
  • Collect information through market and competitor research: monitor consumer market trends and social listening
  • Analyze the distribution of the Lindemans brand in the US (off- & on-trade)
  • Monitor and analyze pricing and promotions
  • Learn about Lindemans competitor’s strategies and how they position themselves within the market (Competitor Analysis)
  • Explore new distribution and brand opportunities in the off trade (premium retail chains, gourmet store chains…) with a focus on e-commerce
  • Explore new distribution and brand opportunities in the on-trade (restaurant chains, hotel chains, cocktail bars…)
  • Develop a marketing plan to position the Lindemans brand in the US market, to increase Lindemans brand recognition and connect with consumers the next 5 years
  • A special focus will be given to digital marketing – define a digital strategy to allow the brewery to create engagement online
  • Help organizing activation campaigns, in accordance with the importer
  • Evaluate trade activation campaigns, assess learnings to report ROI

Who we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of B2C marketing experience
  • 2 years of experience in demand generation
  • Experience with creating marketing content and visual material for social media
  • Experience in working with marketing agencies
  • Autonomous and mobile person, used to remote collaboration
  • Preferably living on the West Coast
  • Passion for food and beer especially
