About the Job:

As Regional Sales Manager you will lead the regional sales & distribution activities for the market. You will be responsible for: delivering a market sales plan; achieving company revenue and profit targets; managing & driving distributor partner (DP) relationships, executing national & regional account plans, independent grocery, OnPrem, UDS & all other channels of business. You have strong leadership, communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Furthermore, you will ensure that Liquid Death is always “top of mind” with all DP’s and that the distributor’s efforts, key account calls & programs are aligned with Liquid Death’s business objectives. To be successful in this role, you must be able to manage account HQ calls down to working and driving street business. You must wear many hats, be scrappy, not be afraid to speak up, and take full ownership of all business activities while ensuring Liquid Death is always winning in-market. This role is not for ivory tower managers. This is a leadership role which requires heavy time in-market working with retail partners, DP’s, and leading our local Field Sales Managers (FSM) team. Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Field Sales Managers

  • Develop relationships with Senior Level distributor partners (DP)

  • Manage routine implementation including clear communication / education of Key Initiatives with FSM and DP teams through KPIs

  • Develop systems to benchmark and establish clear expectations for DP performance

  • Develop & lead Quarterly Business Reviews with DP’s to drive KPI’s / brand revenue goals

  • Analyze the distributor structure & making recommendations to the DP

  • Create accurate and timely forecasts for case volume, spending & profitability

  • Drive and manage revenue targets with key regional accounts and high value independent accounts

  • Marketplace execution

  • Drive & exceed regional level sales & profit targets

  • P&L Management

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in CPG sales 

  • Strong distributor management skills. 3 + years of experience displaying leadership skills

  • Outstanding sales & distribution management experience & achievement

  • Strong Leadership Skills to provide mentoring, training & constructive feedback

  • Strong business acumen in planning, analyzing, and market strategy

  • Data first manager

  • Data-driven selling experience and expert ability to understand and analyze sales

performance metrics

  • Financial, analytical, mathematical problem-solving skills

  • Strong administrative skills. Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint

  • Excellent presentation skills - both written & verbal

  • Working knowledge and experience with Key Account Management

  • Excellent negotiator & influencer

  • Entrepreneurial, solution-oriented, strategic mindset to take initiative and consult with DP’s in joint business planning, market execution, strategic priorities

  • Setting, tracking, and measuring KPI’s (measuring progress vs. plan)

  • Moderate familiarization with field marketing

  • Self-directed, goal-oriented, flexible, enjoys working in a fast-paced start-up environment and is able to be scrappy 

  • Curious, forward thinker, owner mentality

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of employees with different skill sets

  • Able to travel 20%
