Shaka Tea is looking for a dynamite Field Sale Representative to join our growing team. 


The Field Sales Rep must be high energy, experienced, flexible and enjoys a “fast-paced” environment where priorities evolve as the business and brand develops and grows across all channels. Candidates, who connect through positive and respectful interaction, inspire greater success and maintain a solutions-based approach at all times will be at the top of our list. 


The Field Sales Rep works with the Director of Sales Western US on a day-to-day basis, as well as a weekly team meeting with founders and other colleagues as the team grows to ensure that the new opportunities align with brand strategies, volume, spending, and profit goals monthly, quarterly and annually. 


Critical for success in this role is a highly entrepreneurial candidate who will work closely with our distributors and retail, with a major focus on growing case sales at store and chain level. Regular distributor work-with, sales meetings and customer account calls are crucial for winning in this territory and growing Shaka Tea sales. 


Successful candidates must be highly organized and extremely productive – able to effectively manage and navigate routes equivalent to 60-100 doors a week, generating clear results selling in product, landing accounts, improving the positioning into the chill “strike zone” and adding additional placements, case stacks and end caps. Candidates must be more competitive, productive and effective than their peers in the field.

Core Responsibilities and Reporting

  • Analyze, plan, manage and grow the business in the territory

  • Secure consistent sales driven growth.

  • Prospect and open new accounts including chain accounts with a high retention rate, working closely with the Director of Sales and founders.

  • Execute and achieve, retail distribution goals and objectives through the existing and expanding distributor network.

  • Work directly with accounts to optimize program effectiveness and execution against Shaka Tea strategies.

  • Actively participate on the Sales Team and broader Shaka Tea community through collaboration, communication, and best practice sharing.

  • Occasionally attend out of state crew drives and national trade events.

  • 1 day per quarter of paid, company community service with a nonprofit of your choice

     

  • This role reports to Director of Sales West 


What you need?

  • Must live near or in Seattle, WA.

  • 1 year+ experience in retail/ trade execution, within the (CPG) industry, beverage preferred as is experience with a growing brand.

  • Demonstrate skill in a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal

  • Taking ownership and responsibility for actions, behaviors and contributions is an important part of our team culture.

  • Ability to communicate with management team remotely

  • High energy and “no problems only solutions” attitude

  • Resourceful and inventive 

  • Glass is ‘half full not half empty’ disposition 

  • Competitive AF - truly enjoys the thrill of the win
