About the Position:

Sales Director    

Reports to: CEO

Leads & Manages: Retail and Field Sales Personnel 

Gruvi is looking for a Director of Sales to help lead the company’s sales and growth efforts. This will be the highest sales position at report directly to the CEO. The team at Gruvi is a passionate family who believe in our mission and values and we are looking to find someone who shares those same beliefs but also has the experience necessary to help lead the company. 


The company is based in Denver, Colorado but this position can be based in other large metropolitan cities such as Chicago, New York or Los Angeles.


  • Be an inspirational sales leader and cultural advocate for Gruvi and the NA category

  • Create and execute a sales plan that aligns with the company’s growth strategy

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all National Chain relationships

  • Strategically target and acquire key accounts in top markets.

  • Direct, develop, and effectively manage effective pricing and price promotion spending.

  • Work with existing distributors to execute on sales goals and help select distributors partners for new geographies.

  • Monitor and contribute to system improvements in inventory, out-of-stocks, product generation, and accurate forecasting.

  • Working alongside Marketing to achieve sales/marketing objectives.

  • Hire & Train local field level sales team while leading by example.



  • Bachelor's or MBA Degree

  • 5+ years field sales experience in beverage sales with management experience

  • Advanced knowledge of beer/wine marketing, sales, and distribution.

  • Passion and commitment to building a brand with entrepreneurial spirit

  • Tech savvy with an aptitude for analyzing data to make informed decisions.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of general business:

    • strategic management skills

    • finance

    • sales and marketing program and promotion design/implementation

    • pricing/price promotion analysis

    • Competitive & whitespace analysis

    • New product development and go to market strategy.

    • Advanced knowledge of channel analysis and category management

    • Hiring, staffing, staff development issues and procedures



  • Salary: Commensurate with experience - Base salary, commission, and opportunities for performance bonuses.
