Sunshine Beverages, part of the Teall Capital family, is redefining the energy drink and bringing a new consumer to the category with a better-for-you, non-extreme take on energy. Every can of Sunshine is sparkling with vitamins, electrolytes and light, natural caffeine – no more than a cup of coffee. We are looking for an experienced, highly passionate sales professional to join our fast-growing beverage company and lead growth in the state of Florida. This position will be the face of the brand in this market. The Sales Manager is a remote position that is based within the state of Florida.

Overview:

Lead overall sales efforts for Sunshine Beverages in Florida. Work with partners, including retail customers and distributors, to grow Sunshine accounts and drive incremental sales. Identify, recruit and open new accounts (grocery stores, convenience stores, specialty shops, restaurants, bars, etc.) to sell Sunshine products. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter with strong sales and managerial experience, ideally in beverage industry.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Drive sales and increase velocity at existing retail business within territory
  • Improve merchandising of Sunshine products in-store by selling in displays, adding POS materials, securing incremental placements, and expanding number of facings
  • Increase distribution of Sunshine products by securing new accounts: in-store shelf placement, cold case placement and on-premise service/menu availability
  • Manage third-party merchandising team by providing direction on weekly store visits, attending virtual meetings, analyzing success, and communicating corporate updates
  • Open new outlets by working with distributors, participating in route rides and making local account calls
  • Oversee, execute, and leverage trade promotions at retail 
  • Build relationships and educate retailers, distributors and consumers about the Sunshine product, differentiation, benefits, story and marketing initiatives
  • Develop systems to benchmark and establish clear expectations for distributor performance
  • Manage order fulfillment process, as needed, and ensure in-stock availability 
  • Develop and execute sales strategies by analyzing sales reports, conducting market research and working closely with distributors
  • Work with Sunshine marketing team to develop market plans, identify opportunities and needs, implement sampling and/or grassroots programming, and provide direction (as needed) for Sunshine Field Marketing Specialists
  • Submit timely status reports on monthly and quarterly basis outlining targets, challenges, results, opportunities, and goals
  • Complete administrative tasks (i.e. submit expenses, plan account visits, send market recaps to distributor) in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

Special Requirements

  • Position requires a licensed driver with reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout Florida
  • Must be able (with or without accommodation) of bending and lifting to set up displays and moving cases of product

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal/written) 
  • Deep understanding of the assigned territory and surrounding area
  • Proven sales and negotiating skills
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in the beverage or CPG industry with DSD and Natural channel distribution
