Shaka Tea is hiring immediately for TWO dynamite SoCal Area Sales Managers
Our Area Sales Managers must be high energy, good negotiators, with 1-2 years sales experience, flexible and enjoy a “fast-paced” environment where priorities evolve as the business and brand develops and grows across all channels. The SoCal Area Sales Managers will be accountable for selling and managing Shaka Tea across all channels, reporting to the Director of Sales. Daily account calls are critical, as well as merchandising support and selling into new accounts in order to achieve sales goals and increase brand reach and velocity.
The Area Sales Managers will work with our Director of Sales to ensure that the new opportunities align with brand strategies, volume, spending, and profit goals monthly, quarterly and annually.
Critical for success in this role is a highly entrepreneurial candidate who will work closely with our distributors in retail and food service, as well as our DSD partners.

Key markets this role will cover include:
SoCal Area Sales Manager: LA, Orange Co, San Diego
Analyze, plan, manage and grow the business in your territory.
Secure consistent sales-driven growth.
In the trade daily. Performing targeted account calls and growing Shaka Tea market presence.
Prospect and open new accounts including chain accounts with a high retention rate, working closely with Director of Sales and founders.
Establish and achieve Food, Natural & Specialty, traditional retail, food service channel distribution goals and objectives through the existing and expanding distributor network of DSDs.
Execute approved sales strategies and tactics at the customer (both distributor and point of availability) level.
Responsible for the delivery of fact-based, analytical and compelling sales presentations. Provide ongoing education (category management insight) to brokers, distributors, and points of availability regarding Shaka Tea and customer programming.
Conscientiously manage travel expenses.
Attend national trade events, possibility for select international trade events
1 day per quarter of paid, company community service with a nonprofit of your choice
Attend annual company retreat in the Hawaiian Islands, all expenses covered by Shaka Tea
What you need?
1-2 years’ experience in a sales management position within the (CPG) industry, beverage preferred as is experience with a growing brand.
Business acumen and entrepreneur mindset.
Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practises and procedures.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Taking ownership and responsibility for actions, behaviors and contributions is an important part of our team culture.
Ability to communicate with management team remotely
High energy and ‘no problems only solutions’ attitude
Resourceful and inventive

Energetic selling skills and a passion for connecting with new people.
Relationship-driven selling skills and deep ties in the industry.
Happy to travel (65-70% of the time) when required and ability to work flexible hours when needed.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to negotiate.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Driver’s license, vehicle, and good driving record
Understanding of retailer math
Must possess a strong understanding of distributor-based business models and networks; deep relationships and ties in the regions are preferred.
GED or High School Diploma is required, whilst a BA in business, communications or marketing is preferred. We will take real world experience over a degree with a strong track record of success.

Base salary $50k + quarterly bonuses
