Purely Elizabeth is seeking a highly motivated Innovation & Marketing Manager to lead the innovation pipeline from strategy through in-market optimization phases and provide marketing planning support.  The Innovation & Marketing Manager will lead strategy, concept evaluation, execution, marketing direction, and performance analysis of our innovation pipeline, while managing key stakeholder involvement through the process.  The candidate will also support the annual marketing planning process and identifying strong marketing strategies for the brand.  The ideal candidate must possess strong skills in strategy, leadership, organization, communication, critical thinking, must be agile and flexible, and above all must be an excellent team player. 





  • Manage team and process to extend innovation roadmap through 2023
  • Lead whitespace analysis to identify new market opportunities
  • Lead strategic evaluation of new innovation ideas (concept validation, consumer interest, size of prize, channel strategy validation)
  • Manage stakeholder team to align on key TPO attributes (price, flavors, benefits, naming, etc)
  • Develop and at times execute learning plans for early in-market assessment of new item launches 
  • Analyze and evaluate effectiveness of innovation launches & identify key learnings
  • Develop strategic direction and timelines for marketing team to build support plans, including consumer target definition, marketing strategy, and messaging direction
  • Ensure that performance tracking is planned pre-market and lead response / reaction to in-market performance
  • Lead coordination of post-market pivots (product, packaging, marketing support plans, etc) 



  • Provide strategic annual marketing plan support
  • Provide on-going marketing strategy support
  • Lead and at times execute consumer research studies to inform marketing and/or innovation decisions (packaging/messaging optimizations, creative assessment, new item launches)
  • Remain flexible to support on additional marketing needs



  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA nice-to-have
  • Minimum 7 years marketing / innovation experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience leading innovation projects at a food CPG
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in brand marketing leadership role, ideally having led 1+ annual marketing planning cycles
  • Digital / media experience is a plus
  • Exceptional team player, able to manage cross-departmental interests with positive mindset
  • Must be a strong strategic thinker
  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be flexible and agile, able to manage project and strategic pivots
  • Must be solution oriented 
  • Must be open to take on any tasks required at a start up
