Birdsong Brewing Co. is seeking a highly-motivated, energetic, detail-oriented, and responsible individual for a position within our sales force. Birdsong Brewing Co. is located in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities include establishing relationships with on-premise and off-premise retail accounts, soliciting orders from retail accounts, scheduling and execution of promotional events, attending beer industry events and festivals to represent Birdsong Brewing Co., ensuring proper stock rotation at our retail accounts, and handling customer service inquiries from retail accounts.
Currently hiring for the Wilmington, NC market. Applicants should live in Wilmington or the surrounding area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports Birdsong Brewing Co’s core values.
Become a shining beacon for Birdsong Brewing Co. at retail accounts, lighting up doorways and fostering brand awareness and loyalty.
Maintains constant communication with the Head of Sales, Distributor sales force, and key retailers.
Develops, manages and owns the results on a quarterly target account list built from goals and objectives.
Must be able to analyze and develop sales opportunities from VIP software or other company provided sales software.
Conduct ongoing sales training with retailers, distributor partners and consumers.
Assists at all special events and festivals in the territory.
Performs administrative tasks as they are assigned (expense reports, monthly work calendar, establish distribution targets, conduct price surveys and target account benchmarking).
Maintains professional image and demeanor at all times.
Able to maintain and report an expense budget within the given parameters
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Live in the market for which the Sales Representative is responsible for.
Two years’ minimum experience working either with a beer wholesaler or beer supplier.
Strong knowledge of craft beer, the industry, and its retail consumers.
Knowledge of NC ABC laws
The ability to be both independent and work with a team.
Strong PC skills, proficient in Microsoft office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and mastery of Google Drive applications (Docs, Sheets, etc)
Ability to work flexible schedule; ability to work nights and week-ends.
Travel is required.
Outgoing personality and comfortable with public speaking.
Respect for all aspects of our product: the ability to maintain sobriety and professionalism.
Reliable car (appropriate for occasionally hauling beer), a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Consistent visits to bars, restaurants and retail accounts will be required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear
Occasionally required to lift heavy weights (60 pounds or greater).

In 2010, husband and wife, Chris and Tara Goulet were ready for a change. Chris was tired of the corporate grind and Tara needed a break from managing a local bakery. A friend and co-worker at the bakery, Conor Robinson, was learning how to home-brew.
