Get to Know This RoleSierra Nevada Brewing Co. (SNBCo) is looking for a National Account Manager (NAM) in Phoenix, AZ to manage and grow our business within the off-premise grocery, club, drug, mass and convenience channels in the Southwest. This role works with the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. sales force to execute within this sales channel and realize its full potential. Accomplishing this requires the demonstrated ability to develop effective presentations which include IRI/data analysis and to deliver solution based recommendations that will positively affect both the business of our off-premise accounts and our own business. In this position, you will be responsible for creating annual execution plans for the off-premise channel, developing and communicating programs, distribution updates, pricing, and promotional activity to the off-premise chains, the SNBCo sales force, and the chain personnel at our distributors. This includes coordinating and executing SNBCo sales force trainings on how to execute within the sales channels, as well as maintaining market awareness. Other related duties include operating within an established budget, participating in quarterly reviews with the Western US Regional Manager - National Accounts and National Account Manager Team, processing and approving invoices, and operating within established state and federal liquor laws. Keys to success in this position will include the ability to demonstrate teamwork, motivation, and execution within the working relationship of the three tiers, and successfully working with SNBCo sales team to achieve Sierra Nevada performance standards. We are looking for someone who can consistently achieve company business plan goals, including volume, distribution, and profitability.


What You Will Do:
  • Manage SNBCo’s off-premise chain business with the goal of gaining new distribution and promotional activity through direct interaction with key third-party personnel
  • Develop and communicate programs, distribution updates, pricing and promotional activity to chains, SNBCo sales force and our distributors
  • Report monthly business status to the Regional Manager – National Accounts and the Director of National Accounts including issues, opportunities and progress vs. plans
  • Participate in quarterly key chain wholesaler business planning meetings
  • Create and maintain profile for each core chain within the footprint
  • Create annual execution plan for chains with standards for sales, distribution and share
  • Develop and deliver effective presentations which include IRI/data analysis and solution based recommendations that will positively affect both convenience business and SNBC
  • Participate in quarterly wholesaler business planning meetings (business reviews) with National Account Managers and Division Sales Managers in each region
  • Manage the execution of programs, promotional activity, and new distribution through the SNBC sales force and distributor network
  • Track execution on all regional sales programs, including surveying chain stores for display and distribution execution

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business/ Marketing required or any combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
  • 5 years sales experience with a combination of distributors and suppliers required
  • Alcoholic beverage distributor and/or supplier experience with key wholesaler Hensley Beverage Company is desired
  • Distributor sales/management and chain sales experience required
  • An in-depth knowledge of SNBC history, culture and products is critical
  • Experience and competence working in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, IRI, VIP and Market Track is essential
  • Fully proficient writing and delivering effective presentations
  • Must have demonstrated ability to successfully operate within an established budget
  • Knowledge of and ability to successfully operate within various state and federal liquor laws is required
  • DL - Driver's License free of any major moving violations within the last three years upon hire required
