ChocZero is looking for a dynamic Social Media Manager to join our fully remote team. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of experience of social storytelling and growth management on two if not more of the following platforms: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, or TikTok. Our future social media manager should have experience managing an influencer marketing program as well as directing a small team to create on-brand assets. Last but not least, this role is responsible for helping ChocZero maintain its best in class social media customer experience through managing a small team of part-time employees who handle the hundreds of DMs, comments, and hashtag posts we get each day.
This is a full-time position that is fully remote. Applicants must be from Canada or the USA. California, NJ, WA, or TX preferred but any major city accepted.
What will you be doing?
Creating a monthly content calendar that cross promotes with the marketing team at large to help drive traffic to sales, new product releases, retail expansions, and promotions.
Scheduling daily posts across all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) using Later.
Managing brand relationships for giveaways and social media partnerships, working closely with our marketing team to secure quarterly partnerships that align us with brands that fit our ethos. We want to go above just “social media giveaways” and form genuine social media relationships with other top tier brands with longevity and tangible ROI, whether it’s social media growth or customer engagement.
Monitoring analytics with the marketing team and identifying pain points for the company’s social media, then brainstorming plans of action with our VP of Marketing.
Maintaining and expanding an existing influencer program of over a thousand influencers in a cost effective manner while ensuring good ROI for each acquisition. Communicating with those in our program, both big and small, as well as organizing monthly influencer campaigns to promote our happenings in the virtual space as well as physical!
Managing our social media coordinators who provide us with 24/7 coverage in DMs and comments, giving them extensive feedback on their tone, and ensuring that their knowledge base is up to date with ChocZero’s rapidly evolving retail situation (we’re always expanding!) and product selection (we’re always cooking up new things). We NEVER want a customer to feel let down, and social media is our open door to speak to our community genuinely and honestly.

Tell us some tales: you have excellent writing skills and a good visual storytelling style so you can help us be FUN and CHOCOLATE-Y.
Meme queen or king: you know the latest social media trends, and it’s pretty much a dream come true to get to share them.
Strong attention to detail: you’re going to be overseeing our social media team and they need to be guided. We offer one of the most interactive social media pages, so our team needs regular review and feedback.
First to speak up: you notice when something isn’t working and you’re happy to help steer the ship in new directions rather than wait for someone else to grab the wheel.
Beginner or higher Canva or Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop experience is a must as you will be expected to crop images from time to time and be self-sufficient with our library of existing assets; we have a designer on our team, but we need you to be able to do small edits on the fly.
Related experience required: 3+ years.
