JOB TITLE: Sales and Merchandising Associate

Company: Ground Up Group is a sales and merchandising agency based in Los Angeles, CA. We sell and merchandise our client's brands in premium and natural grocery retail locations. Ground Up has associates in the Northeast, New England, and Southern California.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The sales and merchandising associate will maintain a daily schedule calling on an established account base. Daily work flow consists of maintaining and filling shelves, order taking, selling in new lines and items to the established account base. Requires in store sales and merchandising skills, knowledge of the organization's range of products, proficiency with order taking, and proficiency with sales reporting applications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

In store merchandising, pack outs, and shelf maintenance

Brand positioning, increased facings, secondary placements, point of sale placement

In store order taking of existing items as well as selling in new brands in the company portfolio

Responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships

Communicate with distributors to ensure orders are being delivered

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Understands how to merchandise product and take orders at natural grocery retail locations

Maintains brand presence, fills shelves from back room inventory, gains secondary placements

In store order taking, sells in new items and SKU’s

Organized and detail-oriented with great follow up skills

Works well with retailers and distributors

Passion to grow brands

Proficiency with using work sharing applications on smart phones and tablet

Ability to navigate metro area in a timely and efficient manner

Vehicle required for NY Metro travel to accounts

1-3 years experience preferred
