In the past five years Sonoma Springs Brewing Company (www.sonomaspringsbewing.com) has grown from a 200 bbl/year microbrewery to one of the top 25 Bay Area brewers by production volume (a 10x increase).  We are currently seeking to fill openings for Sales Reps in the Bay Area region to support our next 10x production growth phase. 

We will consider candidates for these openings who have a demonstrable love and knowledge of craft beer, a passion for sales and customer service, and a track record of delivering results.  Furthermore, candidates should be comfortable joining an organization that prides itself in operating at a high intensity level and as a cohesive team to accomplish its goal of providing the freshest small batch craft beer to its customers.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Head of Sales to identify, engage with, and grow customer relationships with new and existing customers within the Rep’s assigned territory.

Develop a quarterly sales plan based on various metrics including new accounts, greater sales to existing accounts, and brand development for on premise and off premise customers.

Develop a deep understanding of our beer portfolio and how core/seasonal/rotational beers serve the needs of our customers.

Provide market feedback to various groups within the organization including the Head of Sales and production team.

Engage with customers to increase brand awareness through beer tastings, education, and special events.

Participate in and/or lead engagements at beer festivals, beer week events, and other opportunities to engage with our wholesale and retail customer base.

Qualifications and Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of beer or related industry sales experience.

Demonstrable sales track record and the ability to articulate a start up plan for this role at SSBC for the applicable sales region.

Clean driving record.

Knowledge/experience working with brewery ERP/CRM platforms and other technology solutions.

Strong communication skills and awareness of the importance of reporting and accountability

Ability to work 40 hour weeks with the occasional weekend and/or evening hours.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive base salary/quarterly commission structure based upon experience level, health insurance, mileage reimbursement, paid vacation time and a monthly marketing allowance.  Minimum annual base salary review based upon performance.
