Full Time, Reports to Owners
Salaried Position: $40k-$45k plus Bartending Tips

Cohesion Brewing, located in the York Street Yards complex, is targeting an opening date of Q3 2021.
Cohesion Brewing is Czech style lager brewery that is a safe gathering place for the community to exchange ideas or come together over an approachable yet elegant, well-crafted beer. We hope to use our space to foster discussion, contemplation and community over a beer which can be a catalyst for a more engaged citizenship.

Job Purpose:
At Cohesion Brewing, the taproom will be key to our success as we aim to create an alluring experience through a taproom focused brewery. Our taproom manager will be the leader and point of contact for all front of house activities for both staff and customers. We expect the taproom manager to take the reins on daily front of house operations while motivating employees by example. This position will involve a large educational component, explaining to customers and training staff on what sets us apart from others both in serving and production methods. The Taproom Manager ensures that the taproom environment is comfortable and welcoming to all, and unforeseen needs are addressed quickly.
Duties:
Customer Experience
Striving for all customers to have a positive experience in our taproom
Tirelessly making sure that each taproom patron’s needs are met quickly and efficiently
Creating and maintaining a pleasant taproom environment through temperature, music, cleanliness and conduct.
Leading Front of House Operations and Team Development
Serving as team leader to front of house staff by assessing resource needs, training, and coaching taproom staff
Setting the daily schedule for front of house employees
Finding, interviewing, hiring and firing front of house employees
Develop and implement operating procedures for opening and closing the taproom
Planning and executing special and private events in the taproom, including community engagement opportunities
Managing food truck schedule, catering (for special events) and creating and maintaining relationships with local food establishments that deliver to the taproom
Report weekly operations to the owners
Financial and Inventory Management
Manage front of house budget and financial objectives as they relate to overall brewery goal
Implement and maintain inventory for all items that need to be re-ordered (Crowlers, merch, glassware, cleaning supplies, etc.)
Responsible for credit card/cash handling and deposits and setting up/closing down cash drawers
Brand Stewardship
Ambassador for Cohesion Brewing and the Craft Beer Industry
Passion for sharing knowledge on Czech beer production, serving techniques and history with customers
Qualifications:
Prior experience in managing a bar/restaurant, brewery/winery, or coffee shop including the responsibility of purchasing, inventory controls, budgetary controls, personnel management, and process improvement
Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
Ability to anticipate and proactively address problems in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and ability to work with a diverse set of people
Basic familiarity with tablet-based POS systems and other web-based / MS Office software
Desire to learn overall brewery/taproom equipment operations, production and service details unique to Cohesion Brewing
Requirements:
Ability to lift 35-50 lbs and move full kegs (165 lbs) with the aid of a dolly
Available to work full-time (40 hours/week), including nights and weekends
TIPS alcohol training certificate (or equivalent) required upon start date
Must be at least 21 years of age
