Positive Beverage is looking for a self-motivated, self-starter with an outgoing personality who'd love to work with our distributors to open new accounts and/or gaining additional shelf space or placement within current retail accounts. This position requires some "in office" work, but the majority of your time will be spent working the specific territory. Some tracking and follow up office work is expected, so please have some experience with Outlook, and Microsoft applications. This position is ideal for someone who lives in Western Michigan.

The fundamental role of the DSM (District Sales Manager) is to build DSD and Chain Networks in the assigned territory in addition to representing Positive Beverage at local trade shows as needed.

*A clean driving record is a must, and the ideal candidate should be located in Michigan

Tasks and Detailed Work Activities:

Including but not limited to the following;

  • Assist building out DSD Network in Assigned Area
  • Spread Positivity
  • Manage all in-store executions
  • Sell quality merchandising programs into the marketplace including new product launches, floor and endcap displays, shelf resets and seasonal programs
  • Execute company sales strategy to deliver volume objectives, expand retail accounts and distribution to maximize sales
  • Participate in distributor route rides in defined territory to support field efforts
  • Merchandise product on shelf and on display if applicable (help build and maintain space)
  • Expand “in-store” point of distribution within each retailer; goal is to place all authorized SKU’s in the cold-box, warm shelf and gain incremental displays (i.e. side-stacks, endcaps, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain store level relationships with National Account program execution 
  • Attend and or participate in industry conferences and tradeshows upon request
  • Complete minimum number of daily retail sales calls (established by Manager)
  • Weekly recap of all activity to be sent to Manager using agreed upon format
  • Meet established deadlines for Retail Call schedule, depletion reports, etc. 

Environment / Physical Demands:

Including but not limited to the following;

  • Frequently standing/sitting/walking up to 8 hours per day
  • Frequently reaching with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch crawl and climb
  • Regularly lifting between 5 – 30 lbs.
  • Frequently viewing a computer monitor screen up to 8 hours per day
  • Frequent exposure to heat, sun and the outside elements

Starting Salary: $65K-75K (depending on experience)
