Three Trees in a Nutshell

Three Trees is on a mission to delight and nourish the world with the most delicious and clean plant-based foods. Our fresh organic nut milks are crafted with whole, nourishing, real food ingredients, offering moments of connectedness to nature. Bootstrapped since the beginning, we are one of the fastest-growing national brands in the plant-based milk category. 

8 years ago, our founder made pure nut milks with only fresh ingredients you’d find in your pantry, and sold them at the local farmer’s market. Unlike the grocery store kind, they were so creamy and nourishing that people asked for them at their local grocer’s. Every bottle is rooted in grandma’s food philosophy of eating whole, nutrient-rich foods directly from nature. Inspired by her grandmother’s forest walks where she would pick various plants for their healthful properties, our founder named the company ‘Three Trees’ –in Chinese, the character for forest ? is made of three of the characters for tree ?. 


Our Team

Behind the beautiful bottle is a passionate team of data-driven food enthusiasts. Discussions are direct and lively – sparring with ideas gets us energized! No one gets hurt, because it’s not about egos. At the office, you’ll find the team chatting over lunch about the latest projects/adventures (i.e. urban pigeon rescue, raised veggie beds, rock climbing), and passing around a bar of craft dark chocolate as an afternoon pick-me-up.

The Role

Are you passionate about sharing delicious and truly healthy food? Do you get energized about telling the story behind a product, connecting and engaging with consumers, and building an awesome brand?  If so, we want to talk to you about spreading the Three Trees love. Our Marketing Maven will be responsible for driving engagement with consumers and continued success with retailers in the fast-paced plant-based world! You will develop Marketing strategies and tactics to achieve ROI (drive velocity), and communicate our brand values through every touch point.


What you bring

You’re a marketer at heart, with a passion for (and ideally experience in) natural foods. You bring as much analytical skills as creative thinking to build brand awareness, consumer engagement and loyalty, and ultimately to drive business growth. You have experience working with a smaller, high-growth company. You are a self-starter and team player with strong project management capabilities. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Become an industry expert, staying on top of consumers’ evolving needs and competitor and market trend

  • Develop strategy for all Marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness and trial

  • Responsible for Marketing planning, including: consumer marketing, trade marketing, and shopper marketing

  • Translate consumer insights into strategies for branding and social media

  • Packaging, website, sales collateral

  • Digital marketing: website, social media, any PR and e-commerce

  • Develop and oversee a robust tool kit of retail level marketing and trade programs (e.g., promotions, coupons, demos, trainings, retailer specific digital marketing programs, etc.) that will drive incremental velocity and generate strong ROI

  • Set and manage the Marketing budget in partnership with the CEO

  • Measure the ROI on Marketing investments

  • Plan and execute industry events (mostly trade shows)


Capabilities & Qualifications

  • Highly motivated, action and results-oriented, resourceful 

  • Able to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment without much supervision

  • 3+ years in brand management role or CPG consumer marketing

  • Data-driven with attention to detail

  • Analytical, attention to detail, ability to roll up sleeves and get it done

  • Experience at a fast-growing company ideal
