About the Warehouse/Packaging Associate role
Given our upcoming growth, we need passionate and skilled teammates like you to keep the beer flowing. We are hiring a Packaging/Warehouse Associate in our Woburn, MA brewery. The Packaging/Warehouse Associate position is a key role which includes responsibilities in the brewery, on the packaging line, and in the warehouse. Specific responsibilities include:
Provide pack-off coverage on the can-line
Pick, document, and load finished beer to be distributed to customers
Transporting finished goods from our warehouse to the brewery and vice versa via a 26 foot box truck, non-CDL
Assist the warehouse manager in creating mixed pallets and staging shipments
Work with sales and marketing to fulfill one-time or urgent orders
Keep a tidy and organized warehouse, including following FIFO and general sweeping, mopping, etc.
Be able to work independently with little or no supervision
Responsible for managing the warehouse once the warehouse manager leaves for the day or is on vacation
Occasionally assist in special projects
Packaging/Warehouse Associate qualifications:
At a minimum, the Production Associate must have the following:
1-2 years of experience in a production brewery or beer pub (preferred: warehouse and packaging lines)
Strong work ethic, have the ability to work independently, and self-starting attitude
Good interpersonal skills and team spirit
Have a clean driving record
Excellent organization and communication skills
The desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company
Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
Ability to stand for prolonged periods
Ability to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs
Ability to read and follow written English instructions
Ability to regularly lift/carry heavy supplies, like bags of grain and kegs of beer
Ability to work in a brewery environment which may be loud, slick, humid, and hot
Ability to comply with safe chemical handling procedures, including personal protection equipment such as gloves and goggles
