Developing and executing the strategic business plan, and achieving or exceeding planned P&L objectives.
Effectively collaborating with the Executive Leadership Team (including the Board) to ensure alignment, and effectively filtering and translating discussion points or ideas into functional plans for the company.
Leading, managing and holding the team accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments.
Leading all major operating functions of the business. Ensuring everyone is rowing together in the same direction.
Modeling the way, always working toward the greater good of the business.
Providing motivating, steady and predictable leadership.
Resolving issues effectively — seeing real problems, being comfortable with conflict, calling out and resolving the problems in a practical and healthy manner.
Ensuring the team as a whole is healthy, functional and cohesive.

Managing and operating to the approved all up budget.
On point to develop the initial sales and distribution strategy including hiring, leading and managing the sales team and distributor partnerships.
Planning and forecasting sales (in partnership with finance)
Growing and managing company sales through direct meetings with Retailers, Brokers and Distributors.
Ensuring brand pricing guidelines are executed throughout the sales channel.
Holding the sales team accountable to volume and price point (Key Performance Indicators) objectives.
Accountable for planning and execution of sales activities and programs required to achieve predetermined growth in sales and brand velocity.
Reacting to and understanding sales performance including distributor/broker performance as well as gauging competitive activity in the market.
Reporting out on market performance (and performance by retailer/distributor/broker). Providing recommendations on any actions needed to ensure business plan is met or exceeded and execute against approved POA.
Supporting and acting as lead brand representative at trade events or for new customer (retailer or distributor) acquisition.
Proven track record in a similar role leading a growing brand in the food and beverage industry (beverage experience preferred).
Proven ability to grow a brand and work for a smaller sized business. Swiss Army knife capabilities. You will be brand President, thus will play in all factions of the business and need to have strong, educated opinions
Willingness to work for a start-up growing systematically and thoughtfully in the category.
Depth of experience building and leading a sales organization from the ground up in the CPG space.
Solid understanding of the food and beverage industry (beverage preferred) and the trade channel.
Strong positive relationships with retailers and distributors across the country.
A strong profile with an entrepreneurial spirit and with tangible leadership results.
Excellent communication skills and proven problem resolution skills.
Analytical skills related to financial profitability methods used in business and sales management.
Roll up your sleeves approach with strong project management skills, well organized and laser focused on milestones and deadlines.
Computer and systems literacy.
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred in relevant business related fields.
Ability to travel as needed (up to 40% of the time).
