Job Summary


Executes daily cellar tasks and lab work in a fast paced, multi-task environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Adheres to all standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
  • Executes daily cellar tasks including tank C.I.P., beer transfer/filtration and preparation, packaging preparation, cask filling, fermentation monitoring, lab work and cleaning in a timely manner
  • Clearly communicates task status to production staff members, especially during shift transitions
  • Adheres to all safety protocols, including stringent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Adheres to strict sanitation standards 
  • Operates a forklift
  • Maintains equipment, including, but not limited to centrifuge pumps, sanitary parts and fittings, tanks and brewing equipment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year brewery experience preferred
  • Strong preference given to candidates with a hard science degree or formal brewing training
  • Basic understanding of the scientific principles of brewing
  • Strong self-motivator
  • Sound judgment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 165 lbs
  • Ability to work while standing for 8 consecutive hours
  • Forklift certification (provided, if necessary)


Work Environment

  • Warehouse environment with manufacturing hazards, such as hoses, heights, hot water and moving machinery
  • Physically and mentally demanding (e.g. moving heavy hoses, frequent cleaning and measuring chemical levels)
  • Day shift and night shift hours
  • No travel required
