JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a high-performing Area Sales Manager based in the Atlanta, Georgia area to grow the MONACO Cocktail brand in the Southeast (7 states.) Nationwide, MONACO is a top brand in the liquor-based canned cocktail category. https://www.drinkmonaco.com/

The ideal candidate will manage our team of Retail Account Managers who are “feet on the street” off-premise sales and merchandising specialists. The Retail Account Managers visit liquor stores and work with local distributor sales reps to achieve sales and merchandising objectives.

The Area Sales Manager position requires a competitive, organized, energetic, and creative person with experience managing beverage sales teams. Experience at the DM level or higher at a beer or liquor distributor preferred.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily activities of a team of six or more Retail Account Managers based in different states. 
  • Hire and train new Retail Account Managers
  • Drive the team towards goals related to depletions, accounts sold, PODs, and other objectives.
  • Visit accounts daily, either helping and coaching the Retail Account Managers or on your own.  
  • Maintain exceptionally high standards when it comes to merchandising and attention to detail. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Beverage sales team management required, preferably for a beer or other beverage distributor.
  • College degree preferred
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective selling and presentation skills are a must
  • Innovative and creative in approaching accounts and expanding business
  • Ability to motivate and develop sales teams
  • Professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, retail reps and consumers
  • Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Some nights and weekends required
  • Travel, as needed
  • Ability to lift 25+lbs
