About the Demand Planning Analyst role:

The Demand Planning Analyst is an integral role within LHBCo reporting directly to the Director of Sales. This person will be responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of our sales and operations teams’ efforts in bringing Lord Hobo Brewing Co’s products to market. The Analyst will be asked to gather data and make recommendations on distributor orders, packaging quantities, batch sizes, and more. 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Own the process of distributor order management

  • Assist with strategic decisions of volume forecasting

  • Maintain a 13-week demand forecast and clearly communicate changes to key stakeholders

  • Liaise with Operations counterpart on production & inventory planning process

  • Provide active contributions  to the Sales, Inventory, & Operations (SIOP) team.

  • Develop, update, and distribute regular sales and production summaries

  • Summarize relevant trends / commentary, recommending how LHBCo can navigate them 

  • Develop, manage distributor performance scorecards for both objective and subjective metrics

  • Manage inventory to ensure orders are 100% fulfilled with fresh product

Demand Planning Analyst qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Demand Planning Analyst role is an aspiring data scientist that loves the beer industry. S/he is great at starting with a business question, identifying the relevant metrics, gathering the underlying data, and deriving informative and prescriptive insights. S/he will be as comfortable behind a computer as s/he is interfacing with distributor counterparts. A working familiarity of the 3-tier beverage alcohol system in the US is a major plus.

At a minimum, the Demand Planning Analyst must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher plus 2 or more years of relevant analytical experience

  • Wizard level Microsoft Excel skills, and comfort with Powerpoint

  • Experience with VIP SRS, iDig, KARMA Notes and Orchestrated Beer or similar Sales and Production software 

  • Team player with a strong work ethic and self-starting attitude

  • Valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel as necessary (estimate: < 5%)
